For some time this website has looked terrible, so today I updated it to be marginally more pretty. Most of my palette inspiration comes from the rather wonderful Colour Lovers, which is worth a look if you're interested in graphical design.
On a somewhat-related tangent, the minimalist styling of this site is entirely intentional, since I've always preferred fast loading and decent rendering to lots of pretty pictures. I've also always believed that a simple design has a better chance of rendering well on a wide array of output devices, and this belief was confirmed for me recently when I found that my mobile phone managed to do a good job with this layout. Marvellous.
